Requirements for
Instructor’s Honorary Titles
For the Honorary Title of Counselor
Take or teach Teaching Tips & Techniques – SCA03A02 or similar class
Earn 20 points in one college. Classes developed and taught in the pursuit of an honorary degree can not be used to meet this requirement.
For the Honorary Title of Scholar
Must hold the Honorary Title of Counselor in a college.
Earn 40 points (beyond those earned previously) in the same college. The Honorary Title of Prior requires the development and teaching of five separate RUGA accredited classes. Up to 10 points may be earned from classes developed and taught in pursuit of the Honorary Title of Prior may apply toward the Honorary Title of Scholar.
For the Honorary Title of Magister
Must hold the Title of Scholar in a college.
Teach Teaching Tips & Techniques – SCA03A02
Earn 20 points (beyond those earned previously) in that college. Classes developed and taught in pursuit of an Honorary Degree may not be use to meet this requirement.
Host a RUGA session in your area
For the Honorary Title of Professor
Must hold the Title of Magister in a college.
Earn an additional 30 points for intermediate classes (beyond those previously earned) in that college. Classes developed and taught in pursuit of an Honorary Degree may not be use to meet this requirement.
Host a themed RUGA session in your area (i.e. needle work, medicinal herbal use, metalwork, etc…). This must be in addition to the RUGA session used to obtain the Honorary Title of Magister.
